Description:
Public
and commercial banking options are interfaced in a
multi-functional, 24-hour, branch bank. Design considerations
balance the importance of expressing drive-through and
walk-up access and public interaction within the context
of a suburban shopping center. The assemblage of varied
functions is unified by a steel frame superstructure.
A glass entrance functions as an integral but self-contained,
24-hour computerized banking component. Teller area illumination
is highlighted by a daylit clerestory. The bank vault
is articulated with bluestone. Roof storm water is
designed to pass through roof scuppers to ground level
cisterns.
